Gas Line Leaks & Repair phone calls usually start when Louisville Gas & Electric (AKA LG&E) has been in your neighborhood testing for gas leaks and has shut off the gas to your home or the homeowner has noticed a gas smell. LG&E usually will leave a tag or door hanger with a notification of what they have found and to call a plumber for assistance.

To get your natural gas turned back on, ASI Plumbing will pressure test your natural gas lines with air pressure and soap to the exposed gas lines for leaks. By soaping the gas lines with air pressure on the piping and fittings, bubbles will start to form around the pipe and fittings that air is escaping from. This will allow ASI Plumbing to start a plan of either repairing or replacing the gas piping & fitting. LG&E will need proof of the repairs and a tight air test before they will turn the gas back on to your home. We know this process well so give us a call!
